![]() ![]() ![]() It allowed players to build specialized setups to do specific endgame activities - Uber runs, or Cow runs, or AT runs, or Pit runs, or any other targeted area - and because beating Hell was actually attainable for most players/builds, there wasn’t the same constant battle between the classes for who “gets into the meta” or who isn’t balanced because they can clear a higher GR than someone else. People praise D2 and it had a difficulty ceiling - and lots and lots of builds could beat Hell difficulty. I’m not against trading but I am against gimping people who prefer not to trade. If reforging goes away, drop rates could probably be reduced a bit and folks who prefer not to trade would still be able to progress at a reasonable pace, but vanilla D3 drop rates were a perfect example of what NOT to do with loot in an ARPG.Īs D3 stands right now, I enjoy knowing I can roll whatever class I want and ultimately be able to build almost any build I want because of the current drop rates. Any implementation of trading needs to be truly optional. If trading is included in D4, drop rates need to not be nerfed to the point of making trading mandatory.
